Lead Veterinary Technician
We are looking for a candidate who will come with leadership skills, eagerness to provide guidance to their team, and be a highly motivated team member who is compassionate, dedicated, and detail orientated.
Position Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and training of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.
- Help promote efficiency within the hospital team.
- Provide specialized nursing care for injured or ill animals.
- Assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures using a range of high-tech diagnostic equipment including radiology, ultrasonography, and dental equipment.
- Make recommendations to the practice manager concerning personnel matters, disciplinary actions and follow through.
- Strong communication, leadership and motivation skills. Has the ability to effectively solve problems dealing with staff.
- Efficiently assign tasks or duties to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
Qualification Requirements:
- Licensed Technician with experience
- Leadership Experience (Ideal not required)
- Full Time Position
- Very few Saturday Shifts

- Surgical Assisting and Monitoring
- Understand how to safely restrain and work with animals, primarily dogs and cats.
- Communicating effectively with Veterinarians and other hospital staff
- Apply hospital standards that keep pets and staff members safe.
